Riot Gear Post 005

RG05 1

Procrastination is my worst enemy. This was actually shot almost two weeks ago, however my days have been slightly overwhelmed with preparations for Friday’s Fetish Flea Fashion Show. Also, I finally received a call from M.A.C Cosmetics, and I have an interview set up with them. This has been my dream job since the age of sixteen, so I’ve focused a lot of my energy preparing my portfolio for the interview. Finally, I am entering a hair competition for Goldwell. I need to organize a shoot, and do the hair (cut, color, and style), makeup, and wardrobe styling on a model. My deadline is (thankfully) the end of May, but I plan everything out… I hate being rushed at the last minute.

Without further ado!

Two weeks ago, New England was plunged into the icy darkness of Winter. Below freezing, blank, and lifeless. What’s a girl to do in this predicament? Wear pants, of course! I am the first to admit this: I am a wuss about being cold… I simply can’t handle it. So, I sacrifice my cute dresses and thigh-high stockings for something a bit more appropriate for the weather. I wouldn’t say “conservative”, however, homie don’t play that game. (grin)

I developed a ridiculous obsession for camouflage print in the eight grade. No exaggeration, almost every article of clothing I owned had some form of camo print emblazoned on it. Suffice to say I outgrew that phase for the most part. Now I am left with these pants, which I dug out of a salvation army a few years ago. They are incredibly comfortable, and surprisingly warm considering the lightweight material they are made of. Paired with a long tank under a fun sweater, and over chunky platforms, this outfit is more certainly one of my favorite “casual” ensembles. (Do forgive the stains on the pants… as I have mentioned, they are quite worn, and have been through hell. What you are seeing are hair-dye stains, and paint smears from working on the Black Spot Haunt)

Stay warm, dearest kiddies, spring can’t be too far away!
